Press release from leading party of Ghana NDC

NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS ( NDC )

ASHANTI REGIONAL COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT

Date : 27th June, 2016

MEDIA RELEASE

PLANS BY THE NPP TO HOOT AT THE PRESIDENT, A SIGN OF INGRATITUDE.

We have have learnt with utter dismay, moves by the NPP to stage violent demonstrations in Ashanti as part of schemes to divert public attention from the alluring and life-changing projects the President is expected to inspect/commission this week as part of his tour of the region.

We see this as a sign of ungratefulness if not wizardry, on the face of the unparalleled infrastructural developments given this region by His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama over the past three years.

While the NDC remains the most peaceful political entity in our country, we wish to state that any attempt to mare the beauty of the president's activities shall be met with the reasonable force it deserves.

We remind Asanteman that the much anticipated tour by the President dubbed "Accounting to the People" is on track as planned.
